Konstantin Sumtsev was born in Yoshkar-Ola, Mari El Republic, Russia and moved at a young age to the east coast. He acquired his passion for storytelling at a early age and chose to pursue it in a form of filmmaking.
Konstantin attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts -School of Filmmaking, where he studied Film Producing and took multiple courses in Production Design. He graduated in 2013.
Through the artistic expressions of visual arts and such mediums as illustration, drafting, model making, 3D modeling, 3D rapid prototyping, photography, and producing, his work celebrates a humble desire to tell a story about the world around us and those that populate it in both the present and the past.
Konstantin is an artist who is passionate, hardworking, detail oriented, self starter, highly organized, dedicated, reliable, a fast learner, and always goes above and beyond the expectation. Although his strength lies in the visual arts he is no stranger to film & television accounting, having worked on popular shows such as Sleepy Hollow, Under the Dome, and Good Behavior.
In his spare time he enjoys traveling, photography, learning history, computer building, listening to music, trying out the latest art supplies, and building & collecting for N-Scale Model Railroading. He is also a member/webmaster of Cape Fear Model Railroad Society.
